Staff Bios
Jolein Harro was born in Macomb, Illinois, and was raised in Iowa and Missouri. Jolein graduated Suma Cum Laude from Truman State University (formally known as Northeast Missouri State University) where she graduated with a BA in English and a minor in History. During her time at Truman State University, Jolein also studied abroad in Heidelberg, Germany. In 1987, Jolein graduated with a law degree from the University of Colorado and after her graduation, worked at two general practice law firms.
In 1990, believing that law should be more personalized and less costly, Jolein opened her own law firm which specializes in family law. Jolein is happily married to her husband Gary, and has two children, Mark and Jacquie from a previous marriage. Jolein is a member of Abiding Hope Lutheran Church in Littleton, and her interests include hiking with her three dogs, riding horses, tennis, scuba diving, and traveling.
Jolein also hosts a bi-weekly radio show on Castle Rock Radio called Family Law at Five with Jolein and Kevin. Jolein is fluent in German and speaks some French.
Kevin Gallaway was born and raised in western New Jersey. Kevin graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Sociology. Kevin received his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. While in law school, Kevin served in the Juvenile Justice Clinic, representing indigent youths in juvenile cases in Newark, New Jersey. He joined Jolein A. Harro P.C. in 2006. Kevin also co-hosts the bi-weekly radio show on Castle Rock Radio called Family Law with Jolein and Kevin.
Kevin's interests include traveling, music and cooking. Kevin is often found outdoors running or hiking with his wife and their dog, Dieter.
Gary White was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended North Park University in Chicago where he earned a B.A. in Psychology. Gary has extensive management experience in the airline, transportation, and payroll processing industries in various locations throughout the Midwest and New England areas. He has also operated his own business.
After relocating to Denver, Gary began working for Jolein A. Harro P.C. in 2001. Gary is married with two stepchildren and enjoys tennis, traveling, and scuba diving.
Dianne Sawkins was born in Newfoundland, Canada where she graduated from Grace General School of Nursing in 1976. In 1986, Dianne moved to the Denver area with her young family of four. In 1999 following a divorce, Dianne found a need to further her studies in the mental health area by committing to a five year federal grant, assessing and evaluating then current systems of care for the juvinile at risk. This work led Dianne into the area of family law, where she provides client relations and paralegal support.
Dianne has been studying Science of the Mind principles since 2002 and has received a practitioner's license in this area.
Theresa Johnson was born in northern Illinois where she attended Rock Valley College as well as the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. Theresa moved to the Denver area in 1992 with her family. She has been a successful business owner in the Metro area since 1997 and began a second career as a paralegal. Theresa has a degree in paralegal studies from Arapahoe Community College. She is a current member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries and the Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association.
Steve Paulding comes to our law firm directly from the Douglas County School District where he was an educator for over ten years. Steve is from Missouri, where he attended classes at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Missouri State University. In 1996, Steve graduated from Truman State University with a B.A. in Theatre with minors in Communications and German.
In his spare time, Steve directs area theatre productions, most recently directing the musicals "Oliver," "The Sound of Music," and "Disney's Alice in Wonderland." Steve is extremely organized, which is exactly what a law office needs.
